BA cabin crew raise money for Chain of Hope

By Charlotte Turner |

A team of ten British Airways cabin crew are taking part in the Sigma Corporate Walkathon in Kingston, Jamaica on 19th February 2012 in aid of Chain of Hope, a registered UK charity.

BA has a longstanding partnership with Chain of Hope, which is fundraising for a new cardiac unit and intensive care facility for Bustamante Children’s Hospital in Kingston.

This project aims to provide treatment for children through the development and acquisition of vital medical equipment to support the efforts of and train skilled cardiac personnel including cardiologists, anaesthetists, nurses and bio-medical engineers.

One crew member comments: “While we’re on our layover in Kingston we thought we would put our time off to good use, and as many of us have previously visited Bustamante Hospital in Kingston we have seen first hand just how valuable the work Chain of Hope is undertaking in Jamaica really is.”

The BA Gatwick Cabin Crew Champions urges people to support them ‘to make this crucial project a reality for Chain of Hope’.

The crew member continues: :Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. It’s the most efficient way to donate – we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.”
