Clarins loses Porsche Design to UK’s Designer Parfums

By Kevin Rozario |

Porsche Design and France’s Clarins Group ended their licence agreement for the creation and distribution of fragrances under the Porsche Design name at the end of March – with UK house, Designer Parfums, winning the contract going forward.

Designer Parfums, which already holds several licenses for other luxury fragrance brands including Jean Patou, Jean Louis Scherrer, Ghost, Aigner Parfums and Worth Paris, started working with Porsche Design this month.

The company – part of the Shaneel Enterprises Group – will be continuing the distribution of Porsche Design fragrances, first launched in 2008 with The Essence, throughout the world.

The new agreement with Designer Parfums is for distribution of existing stock but the company has confirmed to TRBusiness that it will also manufacture and market a new scent to be launched in mid-2015.

All current scents will still be available at Porsche Design Stores, exclusive specialist shops and the official online store (www.porsche-design.com).
