Louis Dambrine takes GM position at Dutyfly Solutions
By Luke Barras-hill |
Experienced travel retail executive Louis Dambrine has been appointed as the new General Manager at inflight concessionaire Dutyfly Solutions, TRBusiness can reveal.
Dambrine replaces Philippe Le Goff, who has moved to take up a senior position with Lagardère Travel Retail in France.
As the former CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Singapore and Malaysia, Dambrine was responsible for managing a network of over 40 stores, including luxury fashion, gourmet foods and confectionery, travel essentials and food service.
He joined the travel retailer in 2008 as Business Controller responsible for various group subsidiaries.
SUMMER PROMOTIONS DRIVE
Dutyfly Solutions told TRBusiness recently that it is currently embarking on a series of short-term inflight promotional campaigns designed to highlight the most popular products onboard partner airline Transavia.
Similiar campaigns are also being worked on for other carriers including Alitalia and Iberia, which began operating pre-order last year following Dutyfly’s renewal of the inflight contract for the International Airlines Group-owned Spanish flag carrier in 2016.
A similiar concept is understood to be rolling out in Business Class onboard Air France to emphasise the onboard duty free price and value proposition.
Dutyfly Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lagardère Travel Retail (50%) and Servair (50%), provides onboard duty free programmes to a number of airlines including Air France, Iberia, Alitalia, Blue Panorama and Luxair.
