By Luke Barras-hill |

Luxury writing instrument manufacturer Montblanc has launched its first smartwatch blending fine watchmaking with wearable Montwebtechnology.

Montblanc Summit features Android Wear 2.0, Google’s latest operating systems for smartwatches, and advanced wearables processor Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100.

The launch of Montblanc Summit is intended to introduce ‘a new era’ in luxury wearables technology, combined with prestige watchmaking, says the company.

Montblanc dubs the new smartwatch a ‘milestone in the history of Montblanc’ and ‘the perfect connected companion for the young generation to navigate through the fast pace of today’s lifestyles while experiencing the feeling of a real watch on the wrist, creating a bridge to the world of fine watchmaking’.
