US airport retailer Stellar Partners (Stellar) will deliver a number of new commercial units at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) Terminal 3 after winning a ten-year contract.

Stellar, LAM Holdings LLC and Casa Unlimited Enterprises Inc. (Stellar Retail Group PHX LLC) will introduce retail, F&B and news and convenience concepts to 2020 in line with the airport’s ten-year modernisation programme.

Susan Stackhouse, Founder & CEO, Stellar said: “Stellar is honoured to be entering Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as part of its modernisation project giving travellers access to in-demand national and local retail products.

“We thank the airport and the City of Phoenix for this opportunity to connect travellers with retail essentials, leading brand names and local vendors they will only find while visiting Arizona”

LOCAL & INTERNATIONAL MIX

Included in the retail lineup is an open market shop-in-shop ‘Best of the Valley’ Market inspired by Phoenix Magazine’s local guide.

Regional and local brands will feature alongside children’s products and apparel, global beauty brand L’Occitane, and Sol Shades designer sunglasses.

In addition, Travel Outfitters will sell a range of bags and travel accessories; InMotion will merchandise leading branded electronics, entertainment products and accessories; while Lolli and Pops – debuting in Arizona – will sell an assortment of artisan-crafted chocolates and bulk candies.

Meanwhile, Stellar News + Market situated in the North Concourse will boast exclusive local merchandise to PHX, while a Starbucks outlet will round out the retail offering.

Retail options from HG PHX T3 Retailers JV (Hudson) were also approved alongside Stellar’s at a Phoenix City Council meeting held yesterday (21 February).

Construction on the commercial outlets is slated to begin in the coming months and will run concurrently with openings at the South Concourse.

Discover Arizona

Discover Arizona from HG PHX T3 Retailers JV (Hudson) will offer PHX passengers a range of Arizona-themed gifts, souvenirs, books and more.

Hudson’s offerings include Passage by Hudson; Johnston & Murphy; Discover Arizona; Tech on the Go – House of Marley; Indigenous/Mosaic; Tech on the Go – Sony; and Ironwood by Hudson with Giant Coffee.

Flanking the new commercial spread will be an extensive tranche of new F&B options from Host International Inc. and SSP America Inc.

“Sky Harbor is the city’s largest and most important economic engine — and it’s a point of pride to showcase some of our best local concepts to the millions of travellers who pass through every year,” added Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton.

“The ongoing modernisation of Terminal 3 will only boost the world-class experience for passengers at Sky Harbor,”

UPGRADES TO 2020

The $590m Terminal 3 modernisation programme completed the first of a three-stage phase in late 2016, adding a consolidated security checkpoint, new airline ticket counters and an outdoor plaza.

A new South Concourse featuring 15 gates and new amenities preceded upgrades at the North Concourse, which added new F&B concessions.

The entire project at the North Concourse is set to conclude in 2020.

The Arizona hub began overhauling its commercial offer at Terminal 4 in 2017, with sixteen new retail outlets opening in phases including Tumi Luggage and duty free and duty paid options from Dufry-owned Hudson in partnership with Dufry-Phoenix Retailers JV.
