Incheon: still no bid news…

By Doug Newhouse |

There is still no updated information on Incheon International Airport’s duty free bid schedule, ahead of next year’s February-end contract expiry dates.

As of July 6, TRBusiness confirmed that the three incumbents (Lotte, Shilla and KTO) had no news on when a bid  process may begin for the $1.8bn  operation.

Some ‘foreign’ operators are already speculating that two contracts (L&T and P&C) may end up being extended and the same could happen to KTO’s fashion business – especially while Incheon completes its search for a new CEO and also considering that there were no takers the last time KTO’s fashion business was tendered to smaller companies.
