Director General for Tourism to address APTRA India Conference in Delhi

Manisha Saxena is due to address delegates on the morning of Wednesday 20 March.

Manisha Saxena, Director General, Government of India will issue a keynote address at the APTRA India Conference, which takes place on 19-21 March at the Pullman New Delhi Aerocity hotel.

Due to speak on the morning of Wednesday 20 March, Saxena is expected to share details of India’s efforts to accelerate its tourism infrastructure under the auspices of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Sunil Tuli, President of APTRA and Group Chief Executive Officer King Power Group (Hong Kong), said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have the support for the APTRA India Conference from the Director General of Tourism, Government of India. Ms Saxena is a highly respected official and her presentation will set the context for the exceptional opportunity for travel retail in India itself in tandem with the surge in outbound tourists.”

India registered 6.43 million foreign tourist arrivals in the nine months of 2023, equivalent to the same number in the 12 months of 2022, according to Ministry of Tourism figures.

The APTRA India Conference will host an array of leading industry speakers, including Stefano Baronci, Director General, ACI Asia-Pacific; Ray Hernan, CEO, Aer Rianta International; Sunil Tuli, APTRA President & Group CEO King Power Group (Hong Kong); and Vijay Talwar, Chief Commercial Officer, Avolta.
