Ferrero Travel Market premieres ‘La Biscotteria’ products in Cannes

By Charlotte Turner |

Ferrero Travel Market is set to launch new products from two of its pillar brands, Kinder and Nutella, in what it describes as the ‘under-developed’ biscuits category in global travel retail.

The Italian confectioner has said that it will introduce three biscuit products grouped under ‘La Biscotteria’ and comprising, Kinder Cards T (2×3), Nutella Biscuits T22 and Nutella Biscuits T12.

“Kinder Cards, aimed especially at young children, combine the unique Kinder flavour of creamy milk and chocolate with a simple nutritious biscuit made from wheat flour and cane sugar,” said the Ferrero Travel Market.

“Nutella Biscuits take that distinctive biscuit recipe and fashion it into a shallow shell, filled with luxurious chocolate hazelnut Nutella and capped with a second biscuit making it a treasure chest of flavour to delight consumers of any age.”

Kinder Cards and Nutella Biscuits have had limited exposure so far in strategic European domestic markets over the last three years.

‘The positive response from shoppers’ has inspired Ferrero to introduce the range in airports, border stores and on ferries.

Ferrero will be offering a preview of the La Biscotteria products at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (2-6 October) prior to a global roll-out from November.

Sergio Salvagno, General Manager Ferrero Travel Market said: “Ferrero Travel Market has identified the biscuit category as a market that has exciting potential for our renowned Kinder and Nutella brands.

“How often have you reached for a crunchy biscuit on which to spread some creamy Nutella as the ideal accompaniment for your coffee or afternoon tea? Now you have a choice of creamy biscuits from La Biscotteria, ready-made and easy to carry, as the most delicious snack.”
