New Guess scent Dares to be different

Coty Beauty has introduced its latest fragrance for girls in the Guess Parfums portfolio: Guess Dare. Intended for the ‘bold and spirited’ Guess demographic, Dare is the first green and fruity floral scent from the brand and is described as modern, sexy and audacious.

 

Inspired by sexy, daring 70s icons like Charlie’s Angels, Bond Girls and Peggy Lipton in the Mod Squad, perfumer Bruno Jovanovic of IFF has chosen a unique blend of notes that captures the spirit of the typical Guess girl.

 

“Guess Dare is a perfect fit for Millennials who have a similar spirit and mindset of the teens growing up in the 70s,” says Jovanovic. “The untamed wildness of Thelma and Louise’s fearless road trip provided a guide map for the adventurous Guess Dare Girl, who uses her radiant femininity to break free.”

 

The first green and fruity floral from Guess Parfums, the vibrant scent opens with juicy top notes of crisp Kumquat, shimmering Pear Blossom, and fresh Lime Flower. Living Palm Springs Cactus Flower – a bright green, dry floral originating in the West Indies – anchors the heart of the fragrance with subtle, dry, woody undertones evoking youthful spirits and wild adventures. Middle notes include seductive Jasmine and feminine Wild Rose. On the finish there is lingering Blonde Woods, primal Musk, and Living Key West Coconut Palm, a creamy, floral, watery green native to South Florida.

 

Designed by Lance McGregor, the Guess Dare packaging features a feminine, curved pink bottle with delicately edged sides, decorated with a rose gold chain featuring the Guess logo around the neck. The juice inside is peach coloured, nicely complementing the metallic rose gold tone of the bottle. The outer pack is done in a faded denim style, dressed with rose gold studs – an embodiment of the brand’s signature fashion statement.

 

A television commercial starring Spanish model Leticia Zuloaga, Megan Williams and Natasha Bernard promotes the daring theme as the trio strut down the street in tiny denim shorts under the gaze of a handsome biker.

The Guess Dare collection is available in travel retail from September and includes an Eau de Toilette in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes, along with a 200ml body lotion.
